The Benevolent Society is a not-for-profit organisation. Although we receive some government funding, we have to raise money in client fees to maintain our services.
Fees are charged on a sliding scale based on household income. No client will be turned away because of an inability to pay.
Our fee schedules are outlined below. Fees do not attract GST.
Face-to-face counselling
We offer face-to-face counselling to anyone affected by adoption. Click here for more information.

Telephone support
We provide telephone support for clients in regional and rural areas who are not able to attend face-to-face counselling at our Sydney or Brisbane offices. Skype is available to clients living in regional Queensland. Fees are applicable after first three free sessions ($40 per call or $15 for concession card holders). Click here for more information.
Intermediary service
We also offer an intermediary service for people who would like assistance in making an approach to birth relatives. This involves an initial interview plus outreach letters and telephone contact plus support for both parties during the process of establishing contact (fee $180 or $50.00 concession rate).
